Kelly's Body Shop is a local, family-owned and operated business that has been serving the Cockeysville, MD area since 1970. We are a member of the BBB. All of our work is guaranteed and we treat our customers like family.

Owner Thomas Kelly Sr began his career in an automotive collision repair facility in 1970 with nothing more than a hammer, a paint gun, and a belt sander. Tom then decided (during a long road trip to California with his friend at age 22) that his passion for cars exceeded any other hobby or interest in his life.

He started working with local dealerships in transporting vehicles and moved on to working out of a garage in the backyard of his parent's house. Through much trial and error, Tom became a completely self-taught body and paint technician as well as a business entrepreneur.

He faced many obstacles along the way. On many occasions, he would lose money while redoing cars so that he could deliver the highest-quality work possible. Tom has always believed a happy customer to be of the utmost importance. After two years, an electrical fire burned down his garage, Tom moved his business to a building in Baldwin, MD. At the new shop, he got enough work to begin hiring other employees and expanding the business.

Tom shaped his ideal business model while building healthy relationships with other local automotive businesses suppliers. With years of hard work, Tom was able to move to a larger facility in Cockeysville, MD. Here, he began working with dealerships and insurance companies alike.

The business is growing steadily to this day and since 2005, it is being managed and operated by Tom’s two sons, Tom Kelly Jr and Joseph Kelly. Tom Sr's wife of thirty years also works at the shop.
